Hi, my name is Rocco, I’m 16 years old, and I’m doing this fundraiser for my mum and my little brother and sister.

My mum is a single mum who has always done everything for us. She works hard, puts us first, and has always tried to give us the best life she can. Earlier this year, she finally bought our family a home something she was really proud of and excited about.

Not long after moving in, our lives changed completely when my mum was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer (stage 3), which has since spread. She started treatment straight away, but she’s had really serious reactions to three different chemotherapy drugs and can’t currently continue treatment as planned.

On top of that, she has now been diagnosed with hypopituitarism, a lifelong condition caused by immunotherapy. This means she will need daily medication and ongoing care for the rest of her life.

Because of everything she’s going through, my mum isn’t able to finish important work on our house. Our kitchen is still unfinished, and it’s really hard for us to all spend time together properly as a family. I’m doing this for my 8-year-old sister and my 3-year-old brother, because they don’t fully understand what’s happening , they just want to be with Mum and feel safe at home.

All we want is to finish our kitchen so we can spend time together, eat meals together, and make memories while we still can. This would also take some pressure off my mum so she can focus on us and on her health.

After Christmas 2025 I will be completing a sponsored walk to raise awareness for hypopituitarism and breast cancer.
