This past weekend, on June 6th, my mother-in-law, Shell Jordan, and her family experienced a devastating house fire that has left them with nothing. The fire started in the garage due to an electrical issue around noon. Shell noticed the power had gone out and went to check the breaker in the garage, only to find it engulfed in flames. She quickly got everyone out of the house, but tragically, their beloved dog, Jewels, didn’t make it.

Now, Shell and her family are facing the overwhelming task of starting over from scratch. They didn’t have renters’ insurance, so they truly have to rebuild their lives from the ground up. This family of five needs help to get back on their feet.

• Finding a New Home: Covering the first month’s rent and deposit.

• Furnishing the Home: Beds, furniture, and essential household items.

• Daily Necessities: Clothes, food, and other everyday needs.
