Help my mother in Gaza survive cancer amid war

My name is Ahmed Shehada. I live in Belgium, but my heart is in Gaza, where my mother is fighting cancer under the most difficult circumstances anyone can experience.

My mother has chronic cancer and is in urgent need of:

• Anti-cancer medications

• Essential vitamins to support her immunity

• Special healthy food for cancer patients

However, due to the ongoing blockade and the high prices resulting from the war in Gaza, it has become impossible for us to provide these essentials.

I also need to treat my nephew (Musab Shehadeh, 10 years old), who was injured in the war during an indiscriminate shelling of the tent they had fled to after fleeing northern Gaza to the south following the bombing and destruction of our four-story home. Musab was injured in his head and also needs care or evacuation from Gaza.

I launch this campaign with a broken heart and my hope in your compassionate hearts. Our goal is to raise $100,000 to cover:

• Medication and treatment costs for a year

• Special food and essential vitamins

• Transportation and support costs within Gaza
