Remembering Guadalupe Garces

Hello Everyone! My name is Victoria Garces, Guadalupe's daughter. Firstly, I want to thank you for taking the time out to read this. I already greatly appreciate it.

April 2020, my mother got diagnosed with an acute form of Leukemia (myelodysplasia syndrome and neutropenia). If you know my mother, you know she's a strong individual and always one to do stuff on her own. I won't get into details, but she isn't at her best and needs help.

For the first couple months, we were doing okay with chemo, medicine, doctor visits, and her appointments. But since then she hasn't been working, so she has stopped getting her benefits from work and has started medicare/medicaid, which will be active in September 2020. The help from that still isn't enough. She can't comfortably pay her rent, car notes, utilities, etc. 

Because of the pandemic, my job is very sparse in giving out work... but I'm still trying my best to help out. My aunt, Rosario/Charo, has been working very hard in the kitchen trying to make ends meet as well, with her delicious food but again, it's still not enough. We're not asking for much, but just enough to get us by and hopefully make ends meet. We are counting on your help.

¡Hola a todos! Mi nombre es Victoria Garcés, hija de Guadalupe. En primer lugar, quiero agradecerles por tomarse el tiempo para leer esto. Ya se lo agradezco mucho.

En Abril de 2020, a mi madre le diagnosticaron una forma aguda de leucemia. Si conoces a mi madre, sabrás que es una persona fuerte y siempre capaz de hacer las cosas por su cuenta. No entraré en detalles, pero ella no está en su mejor momento y necesita ayuda.

Durante los primeros meses, nos fue bien con la quimioterapia, los medicamentos, las visitas al médico y sus citas. Pero desde entonces no ha estado trabajando, por lo que dejó de recibir los beneficios del trabajo y comenzó a medicare / medicaid, que estará activo en septiembre de 2020. La ayuda de eso todavía no es suficiente. No puede pagar cómodamente el alquiler, las notas del automóvil, los servicios públicos, etc.

Debido a la pandemia, mi trabajo es muy escaso en dar trabajo ... pero todavía estoy haciendo todo lo posible para ayudar. Mi tía, Rosario / Charo, ha estado trabajando en la cocina tratando de ganarse la vida también, con su deliciosa comida, pero nuevamente, todavía no es suficiente. No estamos pidiendo mucho, solo lo suficiente para sobrevivir y, con suerte, llegar a fin de mes. Contamos con su ayuda.
