Help my mother get around more comfortably

Hi, my name is Bryan Morrell and that cover picture is of me, my partner Jessica Andrzejewski and our son Ra.

I am looking to raise money to help get my Mother, Tonya burk wheelchair access to the house she is living in.

My Mother is only 53 years young and she has had trouble moving around for quite a long time. Yes she has not lived a healthy lifestyle but she is currently making strides everyday in the right direction.

She has been living in a house in Kissimmee Florida with my 2 aunts Christine Tyriver and shelly eckstein. Christines health is also taking a toll and has recently been put on oxygen.

On Monday Jan29th my mother was admitted to celebration hospital with uncontrollable spasms. Her diagnosis are Transverse myelitis and Demyelating disease. She got transfered Wednesday 2/7 to orlando health and rehab to see if there is any improvement. However if she is able to stand and move around on her own they say she is still going to have to rely on a wheelchair for the majority of the time. She also feels this is true giving her current state of being.

She hopes to be able to go back to my Aunts house after rehab, however there are several steps to get in the front and back door. Though my mother will need wheelchair access it will also be beneficial for my aunt Chris who owns the house.

My Mother Tonya has not worked for many years die to her discomfort and her insurance is not covering a ramp or scooter. unfortunately i do not have the funds available to provide that for her either as I am a young family and facing struggles of my own.

I am asking for $10,000 to aid in purchasing a handicap ramp to the front door. After speaking to a contractor, they suggested we need about 30 foot of ramp and It be in 2 sections with a platform in the middle to break up the slope. As well I would like to get my Mother an electric scooter to hopefully lighten her load. The ramp is estimated about $4500, and the electric scooter is roughly 1000$

She has had a very hard life and has faced some deep struggles that can make it difficult to stay hopeful. Id love more than anything to see her burdens be lifted and her spirit be renewed. Her mobility troubles have been very hard on her the past few years and to bring some ease in that department will mean the world to her and our family.

Whatever funds are remaining after purchasing the ramp and scooter will go directly to my Aunt Christine Tyriver who owns the house they live in. As she has has her own health issues recently she has been losing hours at work (she is an accountant) I want to ensure she is able to maintain the bills properly for the wellbeing of them all. They are really good people and they deserve this. They do so much much for others that id love to see it get returned to them.
