Hello friends, I am Ahmed, my mother’s companion since the day she was injured in Gaza City on 09/12/2023. My mother was in the kitchen preparing breakfast in the morning when a missile explosion occurred at a neighboring house, resulting in the death of my aunt and her son, and seriously injuring my mother with 55 stitches in her head and several fractures in her spine, notably a fracture of the fourth thoracic vertebra, which led to paralysis in the lower part of her limbs. I traveled with my mother to Egypt, where she underwent surgery in Egyptian hospitals aimed at stabilizing the vertebrae, widening the nerve canal, and relieving pressure on the spinal cord, which took more than two months. My mother is still receiving treatment and needs to continue her physical therapy in specialized centers for her condition. To continue, we need your support to complete her physical therapy, help her improve, and return to good health. I don’t want my mother to live with suffering.

مرحباً أصدقائي، أنا أحمد، مرافق والدتي منذ اليوم الذي أصيبت فيه في مدينة غزة بتاريخ 09/12/2023. كانت والدتي في المطبخ تحضر الإفطار في الصباح عندما حدث انفجار صاروخي في منزل مجاور لنا، مما أدى إلى وفاة عمتي وابنها، وإصابة والدتي بجروح خطيرة تتطلب 55 غرزة في الرأس وكسور عدة في العمود الفقري، أبرزها كسر الفقرة الصدرية الرابعة، والذي أدى إلى شلل في الجزء السفلي من أطرافها. سافرت مع والدتي إلى مصر، حيث خضعت لعملية جراحية في المستشفيات المصرية كانت تهدف إلى تثبيت الفقرات وتوسيع القناة العصبية وتخفيف الضغط على الحبل الشوكي، وقد استغرقت أكثر من شهرين. والدتي لا زالت تتلقى العلاج وتحتاج إلى الاستمرار في العلاج الطبيعي في المراكز المتخصصة لحالتها. من أجل الاستمرار في العلاج، نحن بحاجة إلى دعمكم لاستكمال العلاج الطبيعي، وتحسين حالتها، وعودتها إلى صحة جيدة. لا أريد لوالدتي أن تعيش في معاناة.
