Hello friends,family and whoever else this reaches. This has definately not been my year, first my Dad passed in February of this year and now this. Here is the best way I can say what is happening. This fundraiser is to help ease upcoming costs for my mother Billie Weckerly. So with a turn of unfortunate events I had taken my mother to the Hershey Med. Center on Sept 20th for a mass on her right arm. After many hours she was admitted because they could not identify the mass. After 2 weeks and several scans still no idea. Then things took a turn my mom lost feeling in her arms and legs and they found another mass in her neck and did emergency surgery to remove bone to relieve the pressure. So she was on the mend from that, a biopsy was finally done on her arm and they found it to be malignant melanoma(stage 4) along with several spots in her brain. We were to try some rehab so radiation could be started but after a week of that they found skin failure on her back(no treatment for that). The cancer is aggressive and it's a matter of time for her. The rehab has put her in comfort care to keep her pain managed and comfortable. This is to alleviate some costs that will be incurred for her care. I know this was a lengthy read but I'm not good with words, but I will say thank you for reading this and any help that can be given in this unfortunate time.
