Help my mother and sister afford to live.

Hello, I am the son of Jerry Don Wofford, speaking on behalf of our family.

On Wednesday, Feb 16th, at 3:05 PM, my father passed away. Six days before, he suffered a hemorrhagic stroke that put him into a coma.

He was a talented mechanic and a great man. For over a decade, he ran a business and built a reputation for honest work of exceptional quality, at sometimes unsustainably low, but fair prices. If there was anything he could do to help you avoid wasting your money, he would do it. If you or someone you knew was stuck by the side of the road or couldn't get the car out of the driveway, he would go to you, no matter the hour, no matter the day.

His virtues had foundation. He meant what he said and said what he meant. He kept his word, and did right by people, and every friend of his will tell you that they have never had a friend like Jerry.

This Gofundme aims to raise money to pay for property taxes, remaining house payments, and costs of living for my mother and special needs sister. There are few mechanics as skilled as he was and fewer who can be trusted. Without him, or a man of his caliber working the service shop, my mother will not have a source of income.

We suffered a great deal to watch him survive with the aid of machines in the ICU, and my mother suffers every day, sometimes with increasing disparity, to live without him. Please help us suffer less, help us afford normalcy and room to breathe, room to grieve.

P.S: he cussed like a sailor and gave absolutely not a damn about what other people thought, or why they thought it, he lived his way and no other. It would have taken me a lifetime to understand him if I were not his son.
