Help: My mom's misdiagnosis

My name is Fabian, my sister Daniela and I have set up this page for our mother and best friend, Bertha Madrid. My hope is to find support and generosity. Recently, my mother experienced a decline in health due to several small strokes that affected the frontal lobe of her brain. Unfortunately, these damages are irreversible and incurable.

Background:

Our incredible mother, known for her warmth, compassion, and generosity, was initially misdiagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. Due to this devastating misdiagnosis, we are now facing the repercussions of the time lost in getting her the proper care she needed. A couple of years ago, my mother experienced cognitive difficulties caused by several small strokes. At that time, we didn't know the exact cause, and several misdiagnoses were provided. We have consulted several doctors, undergone various therapies, and tried different treatments since we first noticed something was amiss. However, it wasn't until the recent series of setbacks that we discovered she had been suffering from small strokes severely affecting her frontal lobe. These strokes have drastically altered her life, making even simple everyday tasks that we all take for granted challenging, and leaving us profoundly impacted.

Our mom and dad, stoic yet unwavering, held our family together with their love and determination. They silently carried the weight of our worries, ensuring that we stayed united during this difficult period. Together, we navigated the rough waters, cherishing every moment, knowing we would overcome. Our love remains constant and unyielding. We are a family held together by an unbreakable thread of love and compassion, carrying us through life's unpredictable journey.

Our parents have always been selfless, helping anyone in need and impacting countless lives with their love and kindness. They never hesitated to lend a helping hand to those going through tough times. It pains us that we are now in a position where we have to reach out to others for help.

Medical Expenses:

My sister, father, and I are doing absolutely everything we can to provide her with the best possible care.
