On Thursday, September 4th, our family experienced an unexpected and heartbreaking loss. My mom’s husband, Dyon Thorne, passed away suddenly at the hospital before he was able to undergo a procedure to replace his fistula.

He faced many health challenges, but nothing prepared us for losing him so quickly. Dyon was a loving husband, stepfather, and friend whose presence brought warmth, laughter, and care into our lives. His absence leaves a hole in our hearts that can never be filled.

Because of his pre-existing medical conditions, he had little to no life insurance, leaving the cost of funeral arrangements on my mom’s shoulders. The total cost of the funeral, cremation, and memorial service is $5,000.

We are asking for help to cover these expenses so my mom does not have to carry this burden alone.
