Hello, my name is Cindy Crump and I am the eldest daughter of Teresa Navarro.

If you know my mom, you know she is a strong survivor. From raising me and my sister after my dad passed away, to now battling breast cancer, she has been through it all!

My mom found out she had Stage 2 Breast Cancer when she went to her annual mammogram back in January of 2021. The results came back abnormal and they recommended a biopsy for 2 lumps in her right breast. The results came back saying they were Stage 2 cancerous tumors and would need to be removed.

Because of the size of the tumors, Lumpectomy (partial removal of the breast) was not an option and she had to get surgery for a mastectomy in March.

Then after she healed from surgery, her port was inserted and the 6 chemo infusions started. She has now finished her last chemo round and will continue getting infusions for the next 8 months.

While the chemo medications have caused fatigued, hair loss, and nausea, my mom has kept a positive attitude and braved through it all! She hasn’t missed a beat between keeping up with work (when she’s not on FMLA), taking the boys to work/soccer practice/the gym, and still taking care of the household (cooking, cleaning, etc).

My mom has always put her children first and I cannot think of a single time when there hasn’t been anything she’s been willing to do for me, my sister, and my 2 younger brothers that she is now also raising on her own.

Now, I’d like to help my mom and help support her how I know she would support us!

My mom has been lucky to have a job that understands her situation and offers benefits such as payed disability leave which has helped her get through the times she’s had to miss for doctors appointments and surgeries. However, between the co-pays and deductibles she owes for the biopsies, MRIs, surgeries, and countless of other doctors bills, she still has to meet/pay her $6,500 deductible before insurance covers anything else.

Between rent, utilities, groceries to feed 2 growing teenage boys, and the constant gas needed to refill her tank for work and appointments, being able to pay $6,500 is simply something my mom cannot afford to do without having to sacrifice getting behind on other bills.

Your money and contributions will go towards her current medical bills as well as her future infusion treatments she will still need to complete for the next 8 months.

We are hoping once the year of treatments is over, she can finally declare being cancer free!!
