Help My Mom Smile Again After Years of Sacrifice

Hi everyone,
Thank you for being here. I’m Laura, and I’m setting up this fundraiser for my mom — someone who has spent her whole life taking care of others, but has rarely been able to prioritize herself.
For as long as I can remember, my mom put her needs last while raising me and my two sisters. Over the years, due to health issues and personal sacrifices, she lost most of her teeth. She was encouraged to remove what remained, with the understanding that she would receive dental implants afterward — a plan she trusted would happen, especially with the support promised by her husband at the time.
But when it mattered most, he chose not to prioritize her needs or our family’s future. Instead of following through on the promise of implants, he opted for the cheapest option: ill-fitting dentures. These dentures have never worked for her. The adhesive and sizing cause her to gag and feel nauseous, making it impossible for her to wear them comfortably. It’s impacted her confidence, her health, and her quality of life every single day since.
Now, after everything she’s been through, my mom is starting over. She recently made the decision to move to Denver to be closer to her father, who needs full-time care. She’s stepping in once again to be the caretaker — just like she has always been for everyone else — while trying to rebuild her own life at the same time.
On top of everything, my mom is now back in the job market, looking for work in a new city. Because of this, she currently doesn’t have the dental insurance coverage that might otherwise help with the enormous cost of this kind of care.
She deserves to begin this new chapter feeling supported and whole. Dental implants would give her back the simple joys of smiling, laughing, eating comfortably, and feeling confident again — basic things that should never have been taken away.
Unfortunately, the cost of dental implants is more than I can cover on my own. That’s why I’m reaching out for help. Every donation will go directly toward her dental expenses and anything extra will help with her life transition! If you aren’t able to donate, sharing this fundraiser would mean so much.
