My mom, Shari, is one of the hardest-working, most loving people you could ever meet. She’s always been the kind of person who quietly does what needs to be done — taking care of her kids, working multiple jobs, and still finding time to check on friends or lend a hand when someone else needs it.
Now she’s the one who could use a little help.
Mom has been traveling from Breckenridge, MN to Willmar, MN for her cancer treatments. She has been dealing with cancer on and off now for 9 years. It’s about a two-hour trip each way, and she’ll soon be staying for a little over a week for radiation, on top of the chemo treatments she’s been going through every few weeks.
Even while battling cancer, she’s continued working because disability pay just isn’t enough to cover her bills. She cleans the Sanford Clinic in Wahpeton, the Therapy building, and a local vision center, doing it all with the same determination and strength she’s always shown.
This fundraiser is to help cover:
• Lodging and gas while she’s in Willmar for treatment
• Meals while she’s away from home
• Paying someone to fill in for her cleaning work so she can rest and focus on healing
• And helping her stay on top of bills during this difficult time
Asking for help is not something that comes naturally to my mom. She’s the one who usually gives — not the one who asks. But right now, even a little support can help ease her mind and let her focus on getting well instead of worrying about falling behind.
If you’re able to donate, share, or just send an encouraging word, it would mean the world to her and to our family. Thank you so much for helping us support a woman who has always given her all for others.
