Help My Mom Save Her Home After Stroke

Donation protected
My mom, who is 77 years old, she has called her Geneva property home since 2002. This place is her dream, and she’s worked tirelessly for over two decades to keep it. She’s been a familiar face at both Subway and The Mobile, working long hours because her Social Security check barely covers her mortgage. Despite the challenges, she’s always found ways to give back—offering free horseback riding lessons to local kids and being a supportive presence for so many in our community, including Kimberly Mitten, Stephanie Ferris, Samantha Worske, Shaniya Barre, Hope McGarry, and Daja Napier, among others.

In May, my mom suffered a major stroke that left her without her eyesight and with partial numbness on her left side. She’s now unable to work, and as her only support, I’m doing everything I can to help her stay in the home she loves. She’s currently two months behind on her mortgage and facing mounting medical bills. My mom has always been incredibly strong—she survived breast cancer at 30, lives with type 1 diabetes, and has endured two strokes and a broken pelvis. Through it all, she’s never complained and has always put others first.

We’re asking for help to cover her overdue mortgage and medical expenses so she can focus on recovery without the fear of losing her home. Any support will make a real difference for someone who has given so much to others and just wants to stay in the place she loves.
