My mom is one of the hardest working people I know. She works two jobs, even though she deals with serious health problems that make it difficult for her to take on other types of work. Despite her efforts, the rising cost of living and unexpected expenses have made it nearly impossible for her to keep up with bills. Inflation and even things like a TikTok trend have caused her car payment to go up, adding to the financial strain. My brother and I do our best to help by covering the mortgage so she can focus on paying off old loans, credit cards, and our college loans, but it’s still not enough.

Our house has always had its share of problems, but we’ve managed to scrape by and find a way to pay for repairs—until now. The main line pipe in our home broke, and the cost to fix it is more than we can afford. That’s just too much for any of us to be approved for, and if we can’t find a way to pay for this repair, we’ll be forced to move with nowhere to really go right now. We’re reaching out for help because we’ve run out of options, and we want to do everything we can to keep our family together in our home.
