Hi everyone,
I’m not usually one to ask for help, but right now, my family could really use it.
My mom is one of the hardest working, most selfless people I know. She’s been a proud part of the Leoti community for the past 28 years, always showing up for others, whether it’s cooking for events, helping with church dinners, or simply being there when someone needs a hand. She’s got the kind of heart that would give the shirt off her back without thinking twice.
As the oldest, I’ve always tried to do everything I can to support her. We’ve been through a lot as a family. Five years ago, we lost my dad, it was heartbreaking. But somehow, we pulled through it together, just like we’ve done with so many other tough times. But this one… this one’s different.
Recently, my mom had to undergo emergency gallbladder surgery. Due to unexpected complications, she was transferred to Colorado Springs for more specialized care, which added even more stress and cost to an already difficult situation. She’s now recovering, but the road ahead is long. She’ll be out of work longer than she can afford, and she now has to see a GI specialist regularly for follow-up care.
My mom usually picks up extra income by cooking for people and parties on weekends, but right now, she physically can’t do that. Between the hospital bills, travel expenses, recovery costs, and missing work, her emergency fund is running low. I’ve been doing everything I can to keep things afloat, but I’ve reached a point where I can’t do it all on my own anymore.
That’s why I’m starting this GoFundMe, not for a handout, but for a helping hand during a really tough time.
If you’re able to donate, share, or even just send some love and prayers our way, we are beyond grateful. Thank you so much for reading, and for any support you can give. It truly means the world.
