Help My Mom Recover From a Stroke & Rebuild Her Life

Hi, my name is Matthew, and I'm reaching out on behalf of my Mother, a loving woman who has always put everyone else before herself. At the beginning of June, our lives were turned upside down when she suffered a ischemic stroke. Since then, everything has changed. She lost feeling on her left side of her face, arm and leg and she has esophageal retention. She needs to be on a special diet for a limited time due to this. She has been getting some feeling back, thank God, but for now she's now unable to walk without a walker, has trouble with her memory and her words, and is facing a long, painful recovery through self therapy and medication. Despite her condition, she was denied disability assistance for a previous medical issue, her back, and she hasn't been able to return to work, forcing her to retire. She will appeal now that this has happened. Her husband is doing everything he can, but his income barely covers basic household bills—let alone the overwhelming medical expenses piling up from hospital stays, medication, and doctor visits. We're doing our best as a family, but we've reached a point where we can't do it alone. We're humbly asking for help to: cover medical bills, doctor visits and help with medication, during this recovery period. Every donation, no matter how small, makes a real difference.
