In November, my mom was hospitalized and had to undergo two surgeries. Unfortunately, the first surgery did not go as planned and resulted in a massive infection. Since then, she has faced a long and difficult recovery, and she is now back in a skilled nursing home. With Medi-Cal coverage running out, our family is now responsible for paying privately for her skilled nursing care and the medications she needs to heal.

Right now, my mom requires a special IV every day and needs her wound vac changed every three days by a skilled nurse. This level of care is expected to continue for the next 6 to 12 weeks, and the costs are adding up quickly. The funds raised will go directly toward her daily treatments, wound care, and the nursing support that is so important for her recovery.
