Hi everyone, I am making this for my wonderful mom Brenda glover.

over the last decade she has been dealing with melanoma in her left eye.

over the years it has been countless trips to Vancouver for her doctor appointments as there is no doctor who treats this type of cancer on the island.

Five years ago she underwent a surgery for the tumour in her eye.

the surgery was successful in slowing, and recently even shrinking the tumour. but as a result of that surgery she has developed cataracts.

it continues to worsen and is now severely affecting her daily life. its getting harder and harder for her to see out of that eye. work is becoming increasingly difficult, she's no longer able to safely drive at night, and basic daily tasks are much harder.

her doctor is ready to give her cataract surgery early this spring to make seeing and general life much easier.

but unfortunately she will have to take two weeks off of work to heal, and needs help with funds as she will not be able to make any money while she recovers. she runs her own hairstylist business out of her house and is not able to get help anywhere else.

So I am reaching out to anyone who might be able to help her through the recovery process.

the donation goal is a total of what she would make in two weeks of work, money for groceries and a room to stay for one night in Vancouver the night before her surgery.
