Help my mom rebuild after the hurricane.

10/19/24 Moody and Crawford will be driving home to Pittsburgh starting on Monday. We ask for prayers for safe travels as they are both exhausted. As of now they have not received a lot of money from FEMA so all of your donations are greatly appreciated. Their expenses for now are paying for their hotel as a second home, paying for a storage unit to keep what they could salvage. We knew the house was a total loss but the county made it official by posting a sign deeming it unlivable. In the mean time, HOA fees need to be paid, the house needs demolished, and they need to find a new place to live. We are overwhelmed and thankful for everyone's support.

10/11/24 UPDATE: My mom and her husband, Bobby, stayed in Tarpon Springs during Milton touchdown. They are currently staying at a hotel.
They are trying to salvage as much as possible from their house. My mom said she didn't know mold could be so thick, in many colors, and grow so quickly. They've been driving back and forth from their home to a storage unit, to the hotel they are now almost out of gas. So it will be a wait-and-see when the gas stations get refueled and reopen. Their hotel now has electricity so that's a win.
Their short-term goal is to drive back to Pittsburgh as soon as next week. They don't know anything from FEMA yet and they aren't sure how frequently they will need to return to wrap up the demolition of their home.
As mentioned below, your donations will be used for immediate needs such as the hotel, storage unit, renting a POD unit to be delivered to Pittsburgh, and anything I can't ever foresee.
We are blessed by everyone's generosity. If you are reading this and are unable to donate we ask that you continue to pray for them and everyone who is affected by the storms. We believe in a loving all powerful God. It is through storms that we turn our focus and our hearts towards Him, we trust in His plan even though we don't understand the instructions. We know that our trust and faith does not exempt us from trials and difficulty. We continue to believe and be thankful.

Hello. My name is Jackie Brown. I am starting this page for my mother Carol. She lives in Palm Harbor, Florida near Clearwater. Her community is off of the Avery Bayou. She and her husband lost everything on September 26 from Hurricane Helene. Their entire life is now being thrown away outside of her home. Like many residents in Florida, they did not have insurance.
I am starting this GoFundMe page to help them get back on their feet. They need to find a new place to live, new appliances, etc.
With so much death, destruction, and devastation from this hurricane, they are not sure what FEMA will be able to offer them.
I ask this request knowing that so many people need assistance. I prayerfully ask that if you are going to donate to help someone, consider donating a small amount to my mom.
Your donations will initially be used for temporary housing. They are looking for a month to month lease for now. With it being "snowbird" season a lot of places have already been rented out. From what they have seen rent will be about 2k or more per month. After they make a decision on where to live next donations will be used to move and start over. This definitely was not in their life's plan at the age of 78.
