Hi, my name is Desha Poindexter, a current undergrad at the University of California-Davis.

My mother, Maria-Isabel Murillo, of four kids, three of which she is supporting through higher education, has been on bed rest for the past month and recently had surgery for a brain aneurysm on 4/28/22. Due to her medical issues she hasn’t been able to work or receive payments from EDD SDI until they are done investigating her situation. For now we know the bill for her angiogram which occurred on 3/28/22 is $2,100 but we’ll soon receive another bill including the cost of from doctors, anesthesia, and surgery bills, as well as the time she spends recovering in the hospital.

Our goal is to raise $5,000 to aid in paying her medical costs as well as rent and other bills to support and feed her and her children. Please share and donate as my siblings and I support her through this stressful and difficult time.
