Help my mom, Nurse Vanessa, fight cancer with strength and hope.

Hi, my name is Emma Parsons, and I am reaching out on behalf of my amazing mom, Vanessa Parsons.

My mom is not only the heart of our family, but she's also an amazing, dedicated nurse who cares for others. In July of '24, she was diagnosed with a solitary plasmacytoma and had surgery to have a rod implanted in her left arm. Then she had radiation for months. This year, she was diagnosed with multiple myeloma and did chemotherapy from May to September. She has continued to work her full-time nursing schedule throughout all of this.

In case you didn't know, multiple myeloma is a type of blood cancer. Mom's doctors have decided that the next step in her treatment is to have a bone marrow transplant. This is a major procedure that comes with a long and difficult recovery. Mom will be off work for 6 months and not able to leave the house for most of that time. Like many nurses, my mom has always worked tirelessly. But she doesn't have the kind of benefits to cover her being off work this long. That's why I've started this GoFundMe.
