Hi my name is Cristina, however, most of you know me by Maricris. Putting my pride and embarrassment aside, I want to call on you, my community for help. I just lost my brother Richmond tragically and very suddenly yesterday (September 30, 2025) due to an apparent undiagnosed heart problem. According to doctors at the ER, he had a massive heart attack while at his part-time job. They tried to revive him 7 times but it was too late!
Richmond had been in the US just a little more than 2 years after waiting 20 plus some years for immigration to give him his visa and finally reunite with my mom in California along with my younger brother, only to be taken by death so soon! It is unfair! He was still getting used to his new life and trying to make a life for himself in California to achieve that elusive American dream, but that chance is gone too! He was a good kid. No vices and was the quiet type. We are very heartbroken and devastated! No amount of tears will ease the pain and the truth that he is really gone - which also bring us to another painful truth. We are in dire need of help taking care of his after-life expenses.
My mom is a widow with no steady income and is financially unable to shoulder all the expenses that is being incurred as my brother's body lie at the morgue. Your donation will help cover ER/hospital bills, autopsy - to officially determine his cause of death, storage of his remains, mortuary services and cremation; the only viable option due to present financial circumstances. We are praying that with your help, we would be able to celebrate his life, give him the honor and proper send-off he deserves.
So, I appeal to your kind hearts and leaning on my community for help. Please know that whatever amount you give, no matter how small, will make a difference and will be fully appreciated! And if there's any extra amount left from your donation, we will donate some of it to the dog sanctuary where Richmond and our younger brother got their adopted beloved dog, Choco, who yearns and wait for him every night to come home from work. The rest will go to mom to cover other related expenses that may arise afterwards. You have my family's heartfelt gratitude. Thank you so much for helping my mom! And my brother... Dear God, I wish I wasn't doing this right now. I'd rather my brother is still alive. I do miss him a lot! It hurts so bad.
