Help My Mom Gigi Recover From a Severe Blood Infection (PHILIPPINES)

My name is Peper, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help for my mom, Rosemarie “Gigi” Carlos.

My mom is currently in the hospital after being diagnosed with a serious blood infection. The doctors found gram -negative bacteria in her blood, which came from her dialysis catheter in her neck. The infection has spread through her bloodstream, and she now needs to have the catheter removed and replaced while being treated with two strong antibiotics. Her blood pressure has also been unstable due to her hypertension, and every day has been a struggle for her to stay strong.

Despite everything, my mom continues to fight with courage and faith. We just want her to recover and come home again.

Right now, we are facing serious financial challenges. My husband is the only one paying for her hospital bills, and the costs keep growing. We still haven’t fully paid for her previous hospital stay just two weeks ago, and now we’re facing another set of medical expenses. My four siblings want to help, but they simply can’t afford to.

I’ve been hesitant to ask for help.,. it’s not something easy to do but I know I have to try. I’m doing this to ease even a little of the burden on my husband, who has been supporting my mom with so much love, even though she’s not his own mother.
