Hello everyone,

I am starting this GoFundMe campaign for my mother 84 years old, who lives in Mexico City and urgently needs gallbladder surgery. Sadly, she does not have medical insurance, and the public hospitals in Mexico City are currently overwhelmed.

On January 1st, 2026, my mom was hospitalized due to serious complications. Thankfully, the doctors were able to save her life, and she is now stable. However, because the public hospital is full and she has been placed on a waiting list for surgery, they were unable to operate. She was sent home on January 6th, 2026, as there is nothing more, they can do for her at this time until it is her turn.

Unfortunately, waiting is very risky for her health. For this reason, we are now forced to seek private medical care, where the surgery can be done sooner — but at a very high cost.

I have always taken care of all my mother’s expenses on my own, but last year we had a major home renovation that used up my savings. At this moment, I am unable to cover the full cost of her surgery, medical care, and recovery by myself.

In addition to the operation, my mom also needs a wheelchair to help her move safely during her recovery.

We are aiming to raise € 4,700 (approximately ~100,000 MXN) to help cover the costs of:

Gallbladder surgery

Medical tests and treatment

Medications and post-operative care

A wheelchair and recovery needs
