I’m creating this fundraiser for my mom, Latina Daughtry, who urgently needs hernia surgery on August 4th. She was diagnosed with an inguinal hernia, and recently her condition worsened after the elevator at her job went out for several days. She had no choice but to take the stairs repeatedly, which placed serious strain on her body. After losing weight, fat became trapped inside the hernia, making the situation more severe.

She’s been experiencing pain, pressure, nausea, and recently had dangerous nosebleeds with blood clots. Her blood pressure spiked to 161/78, and she had to go to the emergency room. Because of these symptoms, her doctor moved her surgery date up from August 18th to August 4th to prevent the condition from becoming life-threatening.

She was just informed that her insurance will not cover the full cost, and she must pay $689 on the day of surgery. Without this payment, she will not be able to proceed.

She will also be off work for two weeks to recover, which adds to the financial pressure. We are asking for any help — no amount is too small, and even sharing this campaign means the world to us.
