Hi everyone , my name is Skylar and this is a go fund me for my mom. Little bit about my mom. She is married  she has 4 kids and she’s has stage 4 cirrhosis of the liver. She can be the most stubborn woman and we can argue like cats and dogs sometimes but if I ever have or need anything she’s always there for me and has supported me in every decision I have ever made. She’s my rock. I think every fight we have ever gotten into ended in tears I’m sorrys and laughter. My favorite moments with my mom growing up is our late night talks eating some kind of dessert. She will and would tell story after story about how she grew up and what she did. Along with the ins and outs of raising me and my brothers.
  This go-fund me is because My mom is needing to travel to Houston tx on the 26th of this month for an unplanned appointment.  Her doctor called and wants to squeeze her in asap. She is sick not just with “health issues “ she is basically in liver failure and won’t get better until she gets a new liver. I fear she won’t get that chance. This year it has felt like Texoma Medical Center is our second home cause she has been admitted so many times. The battle right now she is having is the test to get her approved for the list. You see they just recently found some spots on her liver and one hospital in Dallas believes it to be bile duct cancer but they don’t want to do any testing/biopsy’s on it due to possible complications. The problem with this cancer is it is very aggressive and has a high chance of reoccurring even after a transplant so it is a concern to the people in charge of this list. So with the recommendation from her liver specialist My mom got a second opinion with another hospital in Houston that may actually do the testing needed to see what kind of cancer it is or even if it is cancer in hopes to get her approved sooner but the issue she is having now is finances. My mom can’t work due to her bad liver. She is very weak and usually pretty tired. Her feet and legs get almost 3-4 times their normal size and the scary part is the swelling doesn’t stop there anymore. It traveled up the last time she was in the hospital to her stomach arms and chest. It’s hard to watch someone you love so much go through this and also know how much they are struggling to make it to the next appointment and feel so helpless. She has her good days and bad days but the bad days can be so hard on her not only physically but mentally too. My dad does what he can but anyone who knows about medical expenses knows the financial burden they are even with insurance. They are really struggling right now on coming up with the money she needs to get to this unplanned trip to Houston for the imaging and testings. So If you can and could donate even just a dollar please do it would mean a lot and help so much.
