Help My Mom Get the Life-Saving Scan She Urgently Needs

My mom is facing one of the scariest moments of her life, and we urgently need help to get her the medical testing she needs. She recently learned she has a tumor attached to her kidney, but what has us most worried is that her tumor markers came back at 665.5 — when normal levels should be around 100.
This extremely high number tells her doctors that there may be other tumors somewhere else in her body, but we don’t yet know where. The only way to find out is through an advanced full-body diagnostic DOTATATE PET scan. This scan allows the doctors to examine her entire body — every organ and every system — to see if the cancer has spread and where.
Why This Scan Is Critical
This scan is not optional.
It is the only way to know what we’re truly dealing with.
While someone can live with one kidney if they need to remove it, what we’re facing is far more complicated. Before surgery or treatment can begin, the doctors must know if cancer is present anywhere else — bones, organs, lymph nodes, or tissue. Without this scan, they cannot move forward.
Why We’re Asking for Help
This specific diagnostic scan is very expensive, and insurance does not fully cover it. The costs are overwhelming for our family, and we cannot move forward without help.
We are raising funds to cover:
• The full-body diagnostic scan
• The biopsy
• Follow-up testing
• Additional related medical expenses
