Hello everyone,

I’m starting this fundraiser to help my mom receive medically necessary oral surgery so she can be fitted for dentures and regain basic functions like eating and speaking comfortably.

My mom lives with Multiple Sclerosis (MS), which already impacts her daily health and quality of life. On top of this, she has been diagnosed with mandibular tori, which are bony growths on the lower jaw.

My mom currently lives in Boise, ID in a senior living community and is receiving care there. According to her dental provider, The Denture Club in Boise, these bone growths must be surgically removed in order for dentures to properly fit. Without this procedure, she will not be able to achieve a stable bite or effective chewing ability, which significantly affects her nutrition, comfort, and overall quality of life.

Unfortunately, Medicaid has denied coverage for this procedure, leaving us responsible for the full cost of surgery and related care.

This situation has created a significant financial burden. We are currently facing:

• Oral surgery to remove mandibular tori

• Dental and surgical costs not covered by Medicaid

• Coordination challenges with oral surgeons through her care network

• Ongoing medical needs related to her MS and overall health

This surgery is NOT optional; it is necessary for her to be able to eat, speak, and maintain basic daily function and dignity.

We are doing everything we can to navigate the system and move forward with her care, but we cannot manage the financial cost alone.

My mom deserves the ability to eat without difficulty, speak comfortably, and live with as much ease and dignity as possible given her health conditions.
