My mother is going through an extremely tough time with a syndrome called MCAS. It’s becoming increasingly difficult for her to eat, take medications, or even be in public places because of her severe reactions to smells and allergens. At 80 years old, she is forced to live with constant constraints, as even the smallest exposure can cause her blood pressure to spike to life-threatening levels.

Unfortunately, MCAS is not recognized by western medicine, so the doctors who can help are specialists who charge thousands of dollars just for an initial appointment. My mother cannot afford this out-of-pocket treatment, and I am unable to cover all these costs myself.
