Hi everyone, my name is Delilah, and I’m raising funds to help my mom, Mui Jennifer Devin, access a critical cancer treatment that is currently only available in China.
My mom is battling EGFR-mutant non-small cell lung cancer with an exon 20 insertion, a rare and aggressive form of lung cancer. After months of treatment, doctors recently told us that the cancer has progressed quickly and that options in the United States are extremely limited. We have reached the point where doctors want to transition to focusing on her comfort and sending her home on hospice.
But we have not given up hope.
We recently learned about a targeted therapy called Sunvozertinib, an oral medication specifically designed for patients with my mom’s exact mutation. While this treatment has shown promising results, it is currently available in China, and not accessible to us here in the U.S.
Our doctors have given us the green light to pursue this option, which means we are now trying to travel to China as soon as possible to obtain the medication and explore whether it can give my mom more time to keep fighting.
The costs of emergency international travel, medical consultations, and the medication itself are overwhelming for our family, which is why we are asking for help.
Funds raised will go toward:
• Travel to China for treatment
• Medical consultations and care abroad
• The cost of the medication ($7.5k for a 3-month supply)
My mom is the heart of our family. When asked what she is fighting for, she said the moment she wants most is being there for my sisters’ graduations and her future grandchildren.
We are doing everything we can to give her that chance.
If you are able to donate, share this page, or keep our family in your thoughts, it would mean the world to us.
Thank you for helping us fight for more time with her.
With gratitude,
Mui, Delilah and family
