In October, my mom was diagnosed with stage 4 lymphoma and is also in liver failure. It all happened so suddenly—she went to the doctor for stomach pain, and that’s when they found the mass and gave us the diagnosis. This news has been incredibly hard on my whole family, especially since my dad had just retired after working for years as a river boat captain. Unfortunately, when he retired, they lost their insurance, which has made everything even more overwhelming.

My mom has always been the kind of person who lights up a room. She’s been a source of joy and strength for everyone around her, and seeing her go through this has been devastating. My dad has always supported our family, and now, just as they were about to enjoy retirement together, they’re facing the biggest challenge of their lives.

All funds raised will go directly to my mom’s medical bills, especially her chemotherapy, which is extremely expensive but absolutely necessary for her survival.
