❤️ Help My Mom Fight Stage 3 Stomach Cancer

My mom has always been the most loving person in my life. From the day I was born, she was there for me in every moment. Whenever I was mad, sad, happy, or disappointed, she was always the first to run toward me and give me a big hug. Her love has always been unconditional. She has been and will always be my number one supporter, and I can’t let her go through this alone.

Some of my favorite memories are of our family (just me, my mom, and my dad), sitting together late at night watching movies, laughing together, and talking about everything. As I got busier with college and my parents got busier with work, those moments slowly became fewer. Because they have always been so busy working to support me, we barely had the chance to go on any family trips. Looking back, I would trade anything just to have one more of those nights, one more chance to laugh together and be happy like before.

My parents have worked tirelessly for years running a small family clothing store in San Bernardino. They have worked seven days a week for the past four to five years, often from early morning until late at night. They have never complained, even when they were sick or exhausted. They have sacrificed everything, their time, rest, and even their own dreams, so I could chase mine and pursue my goal of working in the healthcare field. They are the most selfless people I know.

For a long time, my mom struggled with stomach pain caused by Helicobacter pylori. She had an operation in the U.S. to treat it, but it turned out to be unsuccessful. Afterward, she was prescribed antibiotics, which caused her constant pain, nausea, and vomiting. Later we learned that she was supposed to take proton pump inhibitors (PPI) with the antibiotics to make the treatment effective, but her doctor never prescribed them. Despite repeatedly asking for help, we were told she’d be fine. By the time they agreed to run further tests, it was already too late.

My mom was diagnosed with Stage 3 signet ring cell carcinoma, a rare and aggressive type of stomach cancer that has now spread to her intestines. Because of the low survival rate and limited treatment options in the U.S., she has traveled to Korea to receive specialized care. Doctors there say the tumor has grown too large and the cancer has already spread; she is not yet eligible for surgery. She must first go through several rounds of chemotherapy to shrink the cancer before surgery can be considered. Currently, she has already lost more than 10 kilograms because eating causes her severe pain.

The total treatment cost is estimated between $90,000 and $100,000. With my mom now in Korea for treatment, my dad is running our small clothing store completely alone. He works seven days a week, opening and closing the store by himself, trying to earn enough to cover daily expenses and save for her medical bills. I can see how tired he is every day, but he never shows it. He just keeps going because he loves her and wants to give her the best chance to recover. Watching both of my parents endure such hardships has been heartbreaking. My mom is fighting for her life, and my dad is fighting to keep our family together.

That is why I am here, reaching out. I would do anything in this world to see my mom healthy again. Any amount of help, no matter how small, would mean so much to us. Every donation brings us closer to giving her the treatment she needs and gives our family a little more hope to hold onto.

I sincerely appreciate your interest in our story, your willingness to share it, and your willingness to assist in any manner you can. Your kindness means more to us than words can ever express.
