My mom is a fighter. She’s beaten breast cancer twice. Two surgeries. Two rounds of chemo. Years of check-ups, fear, and hope. Each time, she pushed through the pain and kept going. After her second treatment, her right arm became swollen and never returned to normal. She developed an on-and-off cough that doctors couldn't explain.
But now, the cancer is back for a third time, AGAIN. This time, it’s not just in her breast, it’s spread to her lungs.
The heartbreaking truth? Burmese healthcare is unreliable and simply not equipped to save her. The same outdated treatments here cost as much as world-class care in Bangkok—except in Bangkok, she’d actually have a chance.
Since the military coup, our family has struggled just to survive. My sister and I have been the only ones keeping our family afloat with stable income. But a month ago, I was recently laid off from my job in the US. My sister can’t carry this alone. We’re out of time, out of options, and out of hope unless someone helps.
We need to get her to Thailand immediately—before it’s too late. Every donation will go directly to her medical tests, travel, and treatment. If you can’t give, please share this.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you!
