Help My Mom Fight an Aggressive Cancer

Hello friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

My name is Ashley Hillan, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for support during the most difficult time my family has ever faced. My mother, Amy Hillan, has recently been diagnosed with Stage 3 laryngeal cancer, a life-threatening condition that affects the voice box and can impact breathing, speaking, and swallowing.

This diagnosis came as a complete shock to our family. My mom is the heart and soul of our lives — the kind of woman who always put others before herself. She’s worked hard her entire life, raised her children with unconditional love, and supported everyone around her with open arms and a giving spirit. Now, she’s in a fight for her life.

What She’s Facing

Stage 3 laryngeal cancer means the tumor has grown and may have spread to nearby lymph nodes. She needs intensive treatment, including radiation, chemotherapy, and possibly surgery. These treatments are aggressive and will require time, strength, and resources — both emotional and financial — to get through.

Why We Need Help

As you can imagine, the medical bills are already starting to pile up. Insurance covers part of the costs, but we’re still facing mounting expenses for:

• Chemotherapy and radiation treatments

• Frequent hospital visits and specialist appointments

• Prescription medications

• Nutritional support (she’s already struggling to eat solid food)

• Potential surgery and recovery costs

• Transportation and caregiving expenses

• Loss of income as I take time away from work to care for her

We are doing everything we can to stay strong and keep her spirits up, but the financial burden is overwhelming. That’s why I’ve created this fundraiser — to ask for your help.
