My mom has been diagnosed with very advanced skin cancer. By the time doctors intervened, 13+ years later, the tumor had already destroyed a large part of her face, including the bone beneath. It has spread deep into her sinuses and right up to her eye, leaving her in constant pain and struggling to breathe. It is now rapidly spreading to her other eye. She can not have immediate surgery—her doctors have confirmed that option is off the table. They have taken her in as a case study as only 0.0023% of cases get this far
Her face has been visibly taken over by this disease: there is a large, ulcerated tumor at the center of her face, where her nose and surrounding bone used to be. The cancer has eaten into the nasal passages, the sinus walls, and right up to her eye socket. It’s not something I can even show in a photo here because it’s so shocking—it’s the kind of image that makes people gasp or flinch so I have attached CT scans.
Now, her daily reality is:
• Severe breathing problems (wheezing, choking, gasping if it’s hot or humid).
• Vision loss in her right eye and progressively her left
• Constant anxiety and fear about what’s happening to her body.
• Deep grief
The doctors have said it’s too advanced to cure with typical treatments. Treatment options given will slow the spread and prolong her vision for n best care scenario.
On top of the medical crisis, I have been her main advocate, draining my savings to cover food, gas, hotel trips, and the endless daily needs that come with this. I am only 24, and while I want to give my mom everything she needs in this time, I can’t do it alone.

Why I’m Asking for Help:
We’ve created an Amazon wishlist with specific items that would directly improve her quality of life—medical supplies, comfort items, and basics she can’t get covered through insurance. Anything purchased from the list ships straight to her or me.
This GoFundMe is to help with:
• Covering ongoing daily costs (meals, travel, hotel stays while she receives care).
• Supplementing medical needs insurance won’t cover as we have been struggling with legality around getting her insurance
• Ensuring she has dignity and comfort in this chapter of her life.
I never imagined I’d be writing something like this so young. But this is where we are—and I’m asking for your help, whether you’re family, friend, or stranger. Every dollar and every share matters.
If you can’t give, please just share. It means the world.
