Urgent! Elderly flood victim needs housing.

My name is Frances Justus, the daughter of Ida Proffitt, one of the elderly and disabled residents, who was forced to leave her home, in the mobile home park pictured above, because of flood waters. The residents of this small community, including my momma, were quiet, hardworking, and proud people, who lived humble lives, in their mobile home park, located at Crystal Block (Buchanan County, Virginia,) until the early morning rains of July 13, 2022 caused the Dismal River to surge and reach devastating levels. The older mobile homes were just no match for the raging river, and all of the residents were displaced from their homes.
My mom...the reason I'm asking for your help, was one of those residents. To those who don't know my mom, let me explain, she probably doesn't approve of me asking anyone to help her. She may not have had a lot of material possessions to show for her 61 years of life, but she (and her husband) got them honestly from hard work. They would never ask anyone for help.
On the contrary, my mom was always the first in line to help others. Growing up, we were extremely poor, but my mom still made a way to take care of the neighborhood kids, and feed them. You've heard of people who would "give you the shirt off their back"? Well, that's her! All of her kindness and generosity over the years didn't leave her with a lot to show materially. She didn't have fancy possessions, she only had her home and the few things she needed to get by. Unfortunately, this flood has taken that away from her as she is currently being forced to stay in a local motel, and try to figure out how to start a new home in her elder years.
I'm extremely hopeful that all of the generosity she has shown to others throughout her life will be returned to her now, in her greatest time of need.
She will need enough money to pay for her hotel until she can find a place to live, then money to try to acquire a new home and household items. Ten thousand dollars would buy her a new trailer, and give her all she needs to start over in her senior years without anymore stress and heartbreak.
Any help, no matter how small, will add up to help us reach this goal for her.
Thank you in advance for reading, for praying, for sharing, and for donating.
Much love to you all.
