Hello, my name is Judith Zamudio, and I’m humbly creating this GoFundMe on behalf of my beloved mother, Edith Beltrano.
My mom has spent her entire life in the Philippines, where she served as a dedicated and loving teacher until her retirement. After years of hard work, her dream was simple: to travel and see the world beyond the islands she called home.
In 2015, she made her first trip abroad — to Canada. She was filled with awe and gratitude for every place she visited. But her journey was cut short in 2016 when she returned to the Philippines to care for my father, who had fallen seriously ill. That’s the kind of person my mother is — always putting others before herself, always full of love and sacrifice.
After the long separation brought by the pandemic, she was finally able to return to Canada to reunite with her grandchildren — a moment we had all longed for.
She has been staying with us for the past three months, filling our home with warmth, stories, and laughter. But on Monday, August 4, our lives were turned upside down when she suffered a sudden heart attack.Aug 6, she had to undergo emergency open-heart surgery & turned out successfull. Aug 9, my mom is awake but unresponsive until now. Also, Her dialysis is ongoing.
Right now, she is fighting for her life. And we, her family, are holding onto hope, praying that she finds the strength to recover.
This has been an unimaginably difficult time for all of us — not just emotionally, but financially as well. The cost of her medical care is overwhelming, and we are doing everything we can to give her the best possible chance at healing.
With my family’s blessing, I’m reaching out to you — our friends, our extended family, and kind-hearted strangers — to ask for your support. Any help, no matter how small, will make a big difference in helping us carry this burden.
We are deeply grateful for your prayers, your generosity, and your love. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing with us and for being part of Mom Edith’s journey towards recovery.

Mom is home! ✨
After almost 7 long weeks in the hospital, we are praising God for the miracle of having Nanay Edith home! Her healing is nothing short of the evidence of God’s mercy and the power of prayer.
We are so thankful to have her back under our roof, surrounded by family. Although she is home, the journey isn’t over. Mom still faces a recovery with clinic appointments.
To everyone who has supported us here on GoFundMe—we cannot thank you enough. Your generosity has helped lighten the load and allowed us to focus fully on Nanay Edith’s healing. We are deeply grateful. ❤️
