Help My Mom come to graduation

Hello everyone,

My name is Halima Ingabire and I am an international student from Rwanda.

I am currently a senior at St. Olaf College in Northfield, majoring in Social Work, Race and Ethnic Studies and I will be graduating on May 27th, 2018.
 
My sweet mother just got her Visa to come to my graduation and we are in need of money to cover her airfare.

I grew up with a single mother and I am the last born of four siblings. In my family, I was the only one who was blessed to attend college in the United states and this is something that my mother is so proud of.

My mom struggled so much by herself to raise four kids and she did everything in her abilities to support our education and make sure that we always have a bright future. Education has always been very important to me and to my mother.  From my early childhood, she has always instilled in me a love for education as well as a strong will to always pursue my dreams and for this reason she is very proud of me as well as how much I have accomplished and how far I have gone through my education career.

I owe everything to my mother for always encouraging me to reach my very best and I would be super grateful to have her by my side and have her celebrate my graduation with me.

I would really appreciate your support in helping me raise $3,000 to cover her airfare costs for a round trip from Rwanda to Minneapolis. 

During her stay in the US, I am also hoping to show her around my campus, my friends, professors and show her parts of the town that are the most meaningful to me. 

Having my mom here would simply mean the world to me and for everything that she has done for me, I would love to give back to her and grant her the gift of being a part of this celebration.
