Hi, my name is Carissa and I'm trying to raise funds to help my mom Cathy Ussery pay for her prosthetic eye. On October 14th she had to have emergency surgery to remove her right eye. As most of you know she has been struggling with illness and vision loss since 2015. She's handling it well given the devastating loss of her eye. It will make her feel so much better having a prosthetic to replace it. We were able to snag the last appointment before Christmas on December 7th. We will have to travel 3 hrs away to Burlington but the whole procedure is done in a day and she will come home with the eye immediately. Unfortunately her portion is $4000 and must be paid up front. She has been such a big help with my new baby and loves being a Grandma! I'm so thankful for my parents and want to help ease their financial burden for this expense.
