Help My Mom fight Multiple Myeloma (Blood Cancer)

Donation protected
Dear friends and compassionate souls,

I’m Sagar Chadha, writing this with a heavy heart and deep urgency — to ask for your support in helping my mother, Neena Chadha, as she bravely fights Multiple Myeloma, a rare and aggressive form of blood cancer in India.

My mom is 62 years old — soft-spoken, deeply kind, and the heart of our home. A devoted homemaker, she has always put others before herself and has been the foundation of our family. To me, she’s everything.

Her health began to decline at the end of January 2025, when she suddenly collapsed due to extreme weakness. What initially seemed like a heart issue led to the discovery of multiple blockages, requiring immediate stent placement. But during her treatment, we received even more devastating news: she had blood cancer.

Since then, her journey has been unimaginably difficult. Her heart and kidney functions have deteriorated, and her vitals remain unstable. She’s currently undergoing chemotherapy, and doctors have advised 2 to 3 more cycles before she can be considered for a stem cell transplant — her best and possibly only chance at survival. She has already needed 10–12 units of blood and platelets, with her count once dropping as low as 6,000 — a life-threatening level.

The Financial Strain
The stem cell transplant alone is estimated at $30000- $33000 CAD, covering hospitalization, isolation, medications, testing, and post-transplant care. This doesn’t include the ongoing cost of chemotherapy, transfusions, hospital stays, and daily medications — all of which are critical and costly.

Taking everything into account — including pre- and post-transplant care, chemotherapy, diagnostics, and supportive treatments — the total cost is expected to reach approx. $40,000 CAD, and possibly more, depending on how her condition progresses.

To date, we’ve already spent over $45,000 CAD from our own pockets — depleting her health insurance and nearly all our family’s savings in the process. We’ve done everything we could, but now we’re at a point where we simply cannot continue without help.

As her son, I’m doing everything I can from Canada to support her emotionally and financially while my whole family is impacted and getting her treatment done in India  — but I cannot carry this alone anymore. That’s why I’m turning to you — friends, loved ones, and compassionate strangers — to help give her the fighting chance she so desperately deserves.

How You Can Help:
• Donate whatever you can — no amount is too small. Every single contribution helps.
• Share this campaign with your network — you might reach someone who can make a life-changing difference.

Every dollar raised will go directly toward her chemotherapy, stem cell transplant, medications, and recovery.

My mother has lived a life full of quiet sacrifice and unconditional care. Now, in her most vulnerable moment, I’m asking for that kindness to come back to her.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for reading, for caring, and for standing with us during this unimaginably difficult time.

With love and gratitude,
Sagar Chadha
