Dear family, friends, and community,

 

My mom, our little dog Smoochie, and I were driving back from a dog park, and someone ran a red light at full speed. This led to two vehicles colliding with us, smashing the front of our car. My mom had to crawl out of the passenger side, due to the door being smashed in (while I grabbed Smoochie so we could all escape in case a fire broke out).

 

We are so lucky and grateful to still be here, but my mother's car is totaled, and insurance unfortunately does not cover enough for a safe vehicle for her to drive.

 

My mom is the kindest person, who has always been there to help others. She is the hardest-working person I know, and she really needs your help.

She's always had two jobs (at once), but a few years ago started suffering from a progressive asthmatic condition. Since then, she has been unable to breathe normally or work. She's always been a very active person and has struggled with not being able to continue her work or follow her 30-year passion for gardening.

 

I am looking for contributions to help her buy a safe and reliable vehicle to drive so she can get groceries, bring Smoochie to his favorite dog park to run around and go to doctor's appointments. She lives alone, in nature, and is a half hour from the closest town, so it is vital that she has a vehicle for basic tasks. I am worried, scared and need her and Smoochie (the love of her life) to be safe.

 

I know these are very hard times for many of us, and I thank you for any help you can give, whether it's $5 or any healing thoughts. It means the absolute world to me, more than I could ever say in words!
