A Mom and Daughter Trying to Find Safety and a Fresh Start

Hi, my name is [her name], and I’m doing my best to start over while facing some big challenges.

After my husband left, my life turned upside down. I live in an old mobile home, but the ground under it is caving in. The trailer park refuses to help because the lease is in his name, and I’ve been struggling to keep up with rent, utilities, and daily needs. My phone has already been shut off, and some days I just feel lost — but I keep pushing forward for my daughter.

To make things even harder, I’m scheduled for heart surgery next week, and I’m terrified of how I’ll manage everything while trying to recover. My husband has come back to the house and threatened us, even tearing down our security camera. When I asked for a restraining order, the judge denied it. We just want to be safe and have a chance to start again.
