Hi, my name is Laura, and I’m fundraising for my mom, who has been battling Amyloidosis for several years. This rare and serious illness has left her unable to work, and she currently has no income.

She previously qualified for Medicaid, but unfortunately, she lost her coverage and has been waiting over three months to find out if she’ll be re-approved. In the meantime, she’s running out of a critical medication called Rifaximin, which helps keep her liver functioning and prevents a dangerous condition called hepatic encephalopathy.

One month of Rifaximin costs $1,800—something we simply cannot afford without help. I’m humbly asking for support to cover just one month of this essential medication while we await her Medicaid decision. Any amount you can give will go directly toward keeping her safe and stable.
