About me and my mermaid business
I own a small business (Haley Mermaid LLC) performing as a professional mermaid and creating custom mermaid tails for clients. I create magical and life long memories for children and families and I make dreams come true! I recently started an online mermaid school offering free mermaid tail safety lessons in an effort to spread mermaid and water safety and help prevent drownings.
I worked tirelessly to build my business up from the ground. I earned every penny I put into my business (even working 2 jobs as a full time college student while commuting 45 min each way from campus daily). I am very proud of all I have done to make my dream a reality and bring mermaid magic to so many people but I cannot continue to grow my business without your help!
In order to earn more certifications, update my current ones, and expand my business to reach more people I need more sand dollars.

Why ask for donations?
It was actually a suggestion from a fan on social media to start a go fund me for my mermaid business.
Performing as a mermaid is what I love and I could never see myself doing anything else as a career but this is not a job that is going to make me rich. Mermaid season only runs from April to October meaning from November to March I am waiting tables in order to pay my bills. Covid took away many possibilities for gigs and contracts that are just now starting to come back. My business has been scammed multiple times including a client this year filing a credit card chargeback on the most expensive custom mermaid tail order my business has ever received. While I do have a large social media following the pay I receive is minimal and my views are suppressed through shadow bans. There is talk yet again of banning tiktok entirely which my small business depends on for success.
Every penny helps me toward my goal of spreading mermaid magic and mermaid tail safety education!
