Help my Loving Father and Teacher fight Lymphoma Cancer

Donation protected
Hello everyone with kind hearts, our family has recently discovered our father, Van Phung having Lymphoma cancer near the age of 63.

Lymphoma targets a person's immune system and changes their physical body. My father is sickly and very thin now, and being at an old age doesn't help. Because of Lymphoma cancer treatment, my father has grown near deaf and struggles with his surroundings. He is an amazing man and especially an amazing father to me throughout my whole life. My father is the whole reason why I'm still here because of his unconditional love for me. He is a professor at a college but also a teacher at our church. Whenever a student of his struggles, he spends the whole day helping them to learn. Van Phung also volunteers at our local church at St. Boniface through charity work and feeding the homeless every few months. My dad would work up to four jobs just to support his family, but now with the pain of cancer and growing old, it's becoming hard for him to live. Because of his old age and declining appetite, I'm especially worried about his cancer journey. I watched my uncle die to cancer in the span of less than half a year in 2024, and I've become anxious for my papa. I don't want to lose my dad.

I'm currently a 20-year-old college student working two jobs trying to support my education and my family's medical bills. As my mother had just recently broken her leg, the medical bills only added more and more to the point where I feel I have to drop out of school to pay off my family debt. My mother has no job and it's currently only my sick father and I working. I go to work and school 6 days a week, and every day I pray that I can scrape enough money for my family. There were beginning days where my family had silently accepted that our loving father was going to simply die and we would be left heartbroken.

I love my parents a lot and they've always supported me, so I want to do the same for them.
Even a dollar is enough to help me reach further in funding and continuing my dad's cancer treatment. I feel incredibly shameful in a way to ask for other people's help, but I hope this can at least reach someone that has a big heart. I want to stay in school with the career my father has supported me in while also working to find the money for my parents.

Thank you for listening to my story and spending the time to read this.

With love, gratitude, and appreciation,
Grace Phung and Phung Family
