Hello, my name is Erfan, and I am humbly asking for your help.

My beloved wife, Niloofar, a bright and talented postgraduate student at UNSW, suffered a sudden and catastrophic brain hemorrhage in April 2025 — just after completing her final presentation and finishing her Master’s program. This life-threatening event required emergency surgery and weeks in the ICU.

Although the doctors were not optimistic about her survival or recovery, Niloofar has shown remarkable strength by pulling through. However, she now faces a long and difficult road to recovery.

Niloofar is only 29 years old. Before this, she had over five years of experience in the construction industry. She was full of life, passionate about architecture and construction project management, and dedicated to achieving top marks in her Master’s degree.

She speaks four languages fluently: Persian, English, Korean, and Turkish. She was also a kind and beloved educator at Camp Australia, deeply committed to creating a safe, educational, and joyful environment for children. Niloofar dreamed of building a career in Australia and contributing her talents to the community.

But now, she faces immense challenges: she struggles to speak, cannot move one side of her body, and needs intensive rehabilitation just to regain basic functions.

We are currently relying on a single income, as I have taken unpaid leave to care for her, manage her hospital needs, and handle her university, insurance, and visa matters. Despite doing everything I can, the financial burden has become overwhelming.

We are seeking your support to help cover the following urgent needs after Niloofar’s current insurance term ends and once she is discharged from the hospital:

Medical and rehabilitation costs (therapy, mobility aids, medications)

Equipment to help her adjust to daily life (such as a wheelchair, home modifications)

Any amount, big or small, will make a real difference in helping Niloofar access the care she needs to recover and rebuild her life — the life she so deeply deserves.
