Please help my lil Fennario doggie with her cancer treatment
Donation protected
Hey there everyone...
Fennario is a special one who has melted people into puddles all over Canada and the USA in our adventures together, as well as people from all over the world. People fall in love with her everywhere we go. Gonna do whatever I can to try to save this special lil' nugget.
I found a lump in my Fennario's abdomen. After a long wait to get an appointment to get samples drawn, the news hasn't been good. We had to go to a different vet just to get the ball rolling with sampling. In her words...
"The results for Fennario's mass came back as an epithelial neoplasia - suspect mammary origin. The next recommended steps are to remove the mass and send it for pathologist review. About 50% of mammary cancers are malignant meaning we worry about them spreading to other organs..."
I'm doing what I can to get my doggie-o fixed up. These are the figures involved so far...
$289 - Initial assessment and sample draws
$142 - Send samples for deeper review
$2363 - Imaging and remove the mass
-------
$2794
Once the mass is removed, it is to be sent for pathologist review, so there will be more fees involved with that.
All of this is to just figure out what is going on so we can set up a treatment regimen from there. Every time we walk in the door at the vet, the starting point is around $112. I can't say exactly what it is all going to cost, but I've seen other people dealing with cancer in their dogs, and it's pretty expensive, so I am putting the price-point at about $6000 considering all the numbers above, and what is left to come after all of that.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks so much everyone.
