My children’s grandmother, Yvonne, suddenly and unexpectedly passed away. I’m trying to raise funds to get my kids to California for her funeral, covering a rental car, gas, and food for a 3-day trip.

Ryder, Dexter, and Jayden were very close with their grandma Yvonne, and unfortunately hadn’t been able to see her in far too long. They shared multiple calls with her each week to update her on school, their friends, video games, and YouTube channels. She would even chat with my daughter, who is not her biological granddaughter. The boys were pretty distraught when they found out she had passed, as they hadn’t had a chance to say goodbye and tell her how much they love her. Their dad is heading to California with his fiancé, but the boys were unfortunately told there was no room for them to join, and no place for them to stay while out there. So now I am doing my best to be able to get them there so they can have the closure they need and deserve, and visit with family members during this sad time.

Any support, no matter how big or small, or even just sharing this, would mean so much to my kids and I. Losing their grandma so unexpectedly has been very hard on them, and being able to attend her service and say their final goodbyes is very important to all of us.
