Help me stay sober, stable, and moving forward.

Im reaching out with a heavy and humble heart. Im currently living in Michigan , over a thousand miles away from home, and I’m struggling mentally, emotionally, and financially. Not long ago I made a mistake that changed my life. I got a DUI. It was a dumb decision on my part, and I fully own that. The aftermath has cost me nearly everything. My stability, my finances, and almost my hope.

Im now 4 months sober. I’m actively attending recovery classes and celebrate recovery. I’ve committed to turning my life around, and doing everything i possibly can to become better. Not just for myself, but for the people I hope to help and all my loved ones.

The reality is: with the amount of finances and obligations I have due to my poor decisions in the past. Everything has piled so high that I’m on the verge of losing the little I have left and my home. I’m fighting hard to maintain it all and my recovery, but it’s becoming almost impossible to keep up.

I don’t have family nearby. I’m alone here in Michigan, doing my best with no real safety net. It’s incredible humbling for me to ask for help, but I’ve learned through recovery that we can’t always fight alone.

Im asking for help, any help, so I can keep my home. Stay continuing my road of sobriety and recovery. Continue my career path and not fall backwards. And maintain the life I’m trying so hard to rebuild.

I know I made some mistakes. But also know I am not the mistake. I’m trying every single day to live differently with integrity, purpose, and faith. I believe God has a plan for me and I’m doing my part to walk that road. If you’ve ever been in a tough spot, or known someone who has, I hope you’ll consider supporting me. Even if it’s a little.
